The CDC has announced “public discussion” meetings on the coming flu pandemic this autumn or winter. “The CDC is asking for public discussion, deliberation and input as the agency considers whether to simply make vaccines available to those seeking immunization, to promote vaccination to those most at risk or to implement a widespread immunization program,” the announcement explains. “Space is limited. Registration is required for participation and you must be able to attend the meeting for the entire day.”

“The CDC will host 10 public engagement meetings to receive input on whether the nation’s vaccination plan should be a giant, comprehensive effort or one of a more modest scale,” reports HC Pro. “Informed citizens are being recruited through health departments and civic groups for meetings.”
