ABC-TV: ALBANY, N.Y. -- A judge has put a temporary stop to mandatory
flu vaccinations for health care workers.
Dozens of health care workers have been protesting the requirement
that forced certain workers to be vaccinated by November 30th or face
possible disciplinary action, including termination.
The judge's decision means the requirement will now be suspended
pending a hearing later this month.
In a statement to NEWS10, the health department says it is within its rights to require the vaccinations and that, "In two weeks the department intends to vigorously defend this lawsuit on its merits and we are confident that the regulation will be upheld."
