TAMPA - The first swine flu vaccinations in Hillsborough County
schools are scheduled for Tuesday and students at exceptional centers
are first in line.
It's a day later than organizers originally announced, but
officials needed more time, said health department spokesman Steve
Huard.
"We wanted to make sure we had enough time for permission slips
to go out and be signed, and to make sure we had enough of the
vaccine," he said.
Students at Caminiti and LaVoy exceptional centers were
scheduled to start receiving the H1N1 vaccine around 8:30 a.m., school
officials said. Willis Peters and Eisenhower exceptional centers will
follow.
